From several years we are hearing the statements like BT will beat IT in next few years but there is no significant progress so far as per our expectations. Voice for BT gives an opportunity for young minds to raise their voice for BT addressing the students’ career opportunities, awareness and problems hindering the growth of BT and its impact on economy with views backed up with appropriate solutions like governmental or ministries policies to accelerate the growth of BT through this public speaking competition.

Biotechnovation is a challenge of merging all fields of Engineering with Biology in developing ideas for innovative solutions of all possible applications. Judging Criteria will be impact i.e problem statement chosen, value proposition, immediate social/market needs. This category is for those who have delved deep into their respective fields and are prepared to defend their ideas against the best, by applying independent thinking, based on unique reported experiments and results, pre-laid but innovatively applied mathematical concepts and computational tools, if needed. Only those with the best intellect, knowledge and presentation skills will survive. . .

An inter-disciplinary event open to all biotech-related ventures, Bizwiz is the ideal place for grinding your budding business brains to come up with the Business Models for the next big thing in the industry. With properly planned ideas and a good corporate vision, the teams might just meet the right mentors to help sail their first idea into the boat of a successful corporate venture.

This event is solely for identifying and defining the critical root cause of the problems of immediate social and environmental impact. Participants must address the problem deeply backed up with sound logical reasons. In this event, we expect the deep exploratory analysis of the problem rather than focusing on solution. Winners will be judged based on novelty and impact of the identified problem.

Amidst the hectic schedule of Biotsav, ‘Helicase’ provides the perfect opportunity for an individual to unleash the innate exuberance within himself, to captivate his unexplored imaginations or to put it in terms of the great Professor Moriarty, “to have fun”. Absolutely anyone can unwind down here. Random teams would be made and given fun tasks to complete.
